So many times in my life, I’ve closed my eyes and wished that I could halt time for just one brief moment. Breathing in my babies when they were placed on my chest for the first time. Savoring the feeling of having my entire family together, laughing around the dinner table and telling stories. Feeling the warm sun on my face for the first time after a cold Chicago winter.
But, we all know time doesn’t work that way. And that, my friends, is where photography swoops in and saves the day. Photographs allow us to stop time…capture the smile, hold on to the feeling, record that little hand cupping your face. Photography grants us the capability to document the moments that mean something. Yes, it is about taking a yearly photo for a Christmas card, but it's so much more, too.
